Left Coast Crime Vancouver 2019

Left Coast Crime is an annual mystery convention sponsored by mystery fans, both readers and authors. LCC is held during the first quarter of the year in Western North America. Conventions have been held from Anchorage to El Paso, from Boulder to Hawaii, and various locations in between. Its purpose is to host an event where readers, authors, critics, librarians, publishers, and other fans can gather in convivial surroundings to pursue their mutual interests. In 2019 LCC is being held in Vancouver, BC.

I am honoured to have been selected to be Toastmaster at the convention, following in the footsteps of previous Toastmasters Lee Child, Harlen Coben, Deborah Crombie, Nevada Barr, Laurie R King and Catriona McPherson…to name but a few!

For full details of how you can attend, check the convention website here: http://www.leftcoastcrime.org/2019/index.htm

This is where I KNOW I will be (and there are so many brilliant panels to attend I might also be in two or three other places, all at once, between these times!)

Thursday 9.00-1.00am: Speed dating (Regency C-D): partnered with the lovely Annamaria Alfieri

Thursday 2.30-3.15: Panel (Regency A): Ways To Publish, with R.P. Dahlke (M), Anne Barton, Robert Downs and Russell Hill

Thursday 6.00-7.30pm: Hosting the Welcome Reception

Friday 5.15-6.00pm: being interviewed by the effervescent bundle of vivacity that is Catriona McPherson (Regency C-D)

Saturday 1.30-2.15pm: Hosting M is for Memories - remembering Sue Grafton, with Sue's daughter and other "surprise" guests (Regency C-D)

Saturday 7.30-9.30pm: Hosting the Awards Banquet (Regency A-B-C-D)

Sunday 11.30-12.30pm: Final Guest of Honor Panel
Matt Coyle (M), Cathy Ace, C.J. Box, William Deverell, Maureen Jennings, Don & Jenn Longmuir (Regency C-D)

Then… I’ll remove my tent from Regency C-D and go home!

(I promise to take as many photos as possible to try to capture what will - undoubtedly - be some very special moments!)
